The sire  Almosta Farm's Brogan, was the first bull calf out of 13 calves from one of our foundation cows: LEA Bancroft. Brogan is a cookie cutter of his sire: Spring Flight Connecticut Yankee, continuing on the tradition of producing quality offspring.

This young black cow with will no doubt have her second calf by her side at this sale. She was bred by Dundonald`s Cho Sona #56503 on 12/29/18. She had good performances in the various Highland Shows as a calf and heifer. She has been shown in many events and handles well. Her Dam was the Grand Champion Cow/Calf at Saint Joseph County Fair in 2019 as a cow in her 15th year with a fine heifer calf by her side. She has raised a fine bull calf that was steered and has fine maternal traits. The sire of her 2nd calf is a fine young bull currently being used by Dundonald Highlands after a being shown in many events. This young cow Dundonald`s Ariel looks to be just like her fine dam and will be productive for many years.

That Great Grand Dam was shown as a Cow Calf entry at eighteen
years of age at St. Joseph County Fair Michigan.

This young calf has performed well recently at the U.P. State Fair, Michigan State Fair, and Saint Joseph County Grange Fair. This fine young cow with registered heifer calf by her side will be productive for many years. She demonstrates the breeding of Dundonald Highlands. Having purchased her Grand Dam as a 16 year old cow we were fortunate to have a heifer, a bull, and twin bulls before being put out to pasture.

That heifer was named Roweena of Dundonald #41115 in 2004 and is dam of Roweena 8 of Dundonald and is still productive at Dundonald Farm. She was featured in the Winter Bagpipe 2012 as my favorite brood cow and continues to hold that position. Roweena 8 of Dundonald displays very similar Highland maternal traits as have so many from this line of breeding.

This fine Highland calf comes loaded with strong long life genetics. Her Grand Dam is still productive at 15 years of age and Great Grand Dam had twin bull calves at 18 years old. Her Sire Shat Acres Columbia #38553 is a 17 year old bull and one of the finest specimens of this great Highland breed. He is the property of Carolyn Doornhaag, Springbrook Highlands and has been utilized for breeding the past two years by Dundonald Highlands. We are honored to have the privilege of using this great bull to spread his genetics further afield. BREEDING at it`s best.

In addition to having a fine heifer at her side this cow was AI`d using semen from the two time National Champion Bull Finley Falls Duncan #54601. A great opportunity to purchase Quality Highland breeding.
