Jagger is a friendly steer who is easy to handle and is halter broke. He is very sweet and would make a great addition to anyone who is doing Agritorism. He is out of one of the sweetest cows on the farm. He loves attention, loves being combed, and is great with our granddaughter.
All proceeds from his sale will go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Naomi Grayce Sparks.
Letter from Naomi’s Mom reads:
Naomi Grayce Sparks was 3 months old when we noticed her left pupil had a milky-white look under direct light and immediately knew something wasn’t right. We did some research and feared she may have something serious going on. I took her to an eye doctor the next morning, and what we feared was confirmed. By the end of the week, we were on a plane headed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Naomi was officially diagnosed with retinoblastoma the following week.
There was a large tumor in her left eye that was taking up 70% of her eye socket. Due to the size and aggressiveness of the tumor, Naomi had an enucleation (eye removal) the following week. She was then tested for the RB1 gene, which causes tumors to grow in both eyes. Naomi tested positive for this gene in the peripheral blood of her right eye. Within the next few months, she healed from her eye removal surgery, was fitted for a prosthetic eye, received protective glasses, and had checkups in Memphis every 3 weeks. She also developed 3 small tumors in her right eye that were lasered on the spot.
Naomi is now 17 months old and has not had a new tumor since October 2025! She still has checkups every 6–7 weeks in Memphis, but we have been praising God for a clear report for almost a year now!
St. Jude has been the biggest blessing through this difficult time. Not only will we never receive a medical bill, they also cover travel expenses, food, and housing for each trip. Every employee you meet is so loving and helpful. You meet other families going through the same thing you are and can lean on each other. It becomes such a special place where everyone truly feels like family. I thank God for St. Jude and Naomi’s medical team often!
The Hall family at East Cherokee Highlands has been a second family to me for over 15 years now. I am so thankful for them and their family. Russ and Beth Hall at 1611 Ranch / East Cherokee Highlands have graciously decided to auction off one of their Highland steers in honor of Naomi. All proceeds from this steer will go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We thank you for your generosity and give all the glory to God.
